Pontiac’s Firebird Type-K Sports Wagon
So I’m watching old Rockford Files episodes and in one there is this strange-looking Trans-Am. Gave me sort of a “What the Hell” moment. So a few mouse clicks later I find out Pontiac did build a couple of prototypes. Looks like it was labeled a Firebird Type-K, but it looked like a Trans-Am in the front and then a cross between hatchback & station wagon in the back with gull-winged style openings. Below are the scenes it was in. These were in Season 5 Episodes 20 & 21 if you want to find the shows. One scene just has it parked and then the other does show it driving down the road.
